Matthew Harper joins Nylas as their VP Marketing
Nylas have created an API that powers email, calendar, and contact features in SaaS apps from SMBs to Fortune 500 companies. At the end of 2018 they raised an over-subscribed $16m Series B, led by Spark Capital, and engaged us to hire them a first VP Marketing. Matthew Harper was recruited from Moogsoft, another Dev Tools start-up in San Francisco, where he had led their Global Marketing team for two years. He was previously with Sony and Glassdoor. Matthew will report directly into Nylas’ CEO, Gleb Polyakov.
Rob diNuzzo joins Codacy as their Head of Marketing
Codacy is an automated code review tool that helps developers save time in code reviews and manage technical debt. They recently closed their Series A, led by EQT Ventures, and engaged us to hire them the first Head of Marketing in New York. Rob diNuzzo was recruited to build this function, from scratch, from the new NYC offices. This is his third European-HQ’d start-up, having previously run Global Marketing for Smartly.io and Demand Generation for Datadog. Rob will report into Jaime Jorge, CEO and Founder.
Tracy Hansen joins Bento for Business as Chief Marketing Officer
Bento for Business, headquartered in Chicago, IL, provides simple and elegant financial solutions for SMBs, combining prepaid card and online software to control employee expenses. Edison led their Series B last year, to build upon the scale that followed Comcast Ventures’ Series A of 2016. Tracy Hansen has joined to partner with Farhan Ahmad, CEO & Founder, as his Chief Marketing Officer. She most recently ran marketing for the EdTech Renaissance Learning, which just sold to Francisco Partners. She was previously CMO of Tealium and VP Marketing at NetApp. She will be relocating to Chicago from Madison in the New Year.
